My Windows based tablet and soon the new HP will blow these iPads easily away. I would expect it to run at least 12 hour or more since it will be based on Windows. Which is the number one OS on the planet and the best OS out there period.

@box787 I pre-ordered one because I have never found a use for the iPhone or the iPod Touch. I’ve hardly used it since it arrived because my Wife decided that she had to “test it out.” She spent most of last night playing Diner Dash and a couple of other games. We ordered her an iPad 64GB last night, so I should get full control back sometime after April 12. It is a pretty amazing piece of technology that is incredibly fast during use and has incredible battery life.

@gezsgz Not in the traditional Mac/Windows sense. I have not found this to be a problem though as the quitting and loading is super fast. email, calendars and a few primary systems seem to run in the background because it keeps checking email.

It seems kinda difficult to handle. I wouldnt want to be carrying that around just to get my emails etc. I just dont get it! :S

@stevewestingale Nope, but I’ve only found one of my usual sites that does not have an alternative feed that kicks in. It is pretty amazing really. On my laptop I am running Youtube under HTML5 and it seems to have less buffering issues.

  12. pcharles67 says:

@qxrd yes it charges from my notebook. My older desktop only charges when the iPad is in sleep mode.

  13. qxrd says:

are you sure you can charge it via pc similar to the iphone coz i heard you can’t…. only thru the standard charger included.

  14. stevewestingale says:

  15. Guzzly says:

@gezsgz Nope. It doesn’t multi task. If that’s what you mean.

I’ve installed that birthday app that got featured during the last Modern Family episode last week. The app is pretty AMAZING! Works really well on the iPhone too. It’s called “Birthday A La Carte”.
